Position: Full-Time Next Generation Pastor
 
Job Description/Responsibilities:
 
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and positive person willing to oversee, develop, and implement a dynamic and diverse next generation program for students (grades 6-12) and young adults (ages 18-25). The preferred person would have an intense love for young people, be highly energetic in nature, and be willing to plan and be involved in outings and activities for our youth and young adults. We are seeking a person that will impart spiritual truth and wisdom, as well as someone who can plan and implement entertaining, engaging activities while promoting the cause of Christ in everything that is done. The full-time position is a salaried position with housing (3 bedroom, 2 ½ baths) available if needed.
 
Qualifications:
Must meet the biblical standards for a pastor.
Must affirm the Baptist Faith & Message.
Live an exemplary Christian life.
Must agree to have both background and credit checks performed. Anticipated Responsibilities:
The scope of the ministry includes leading, development, and implementation of a balanced next generation ministry to include curriculum and programs for Sunday School, Wednesday night activities and Vacation Bible School.
Teach and model God’s Word in a way that is biblically accurate and culturally relevant.
Foster, promote, and actively participate in activities that provide spiritual growth and fellowship.
Implement, monitor and enforce cultural expectations set by the church.
Utilize a well-rounded communication/engagement plan (email, text, social media, etc.).
Be available to counsel and fellowship with the students and young adults of the church.
Encourage and connect the students and young adults to the body and life of the church.
Help students with the transition from student ministry to church-life, post-graduation.
Help young adults transition to church life while pursuing higher education and entering the workforce.
Relate the needs of students and young adults to the church.
Motivate, instruct, and coordinate the activities of volunteers when appropriate.
Participate in student and young adult events or mission activities with other churches.
Provide guidance in evangelism and community outreach.
Promote and coordinate regular church-wide community outreach events.
Be involved in the community according to interest and opportunity.
Coordinate fundraising efforts for youth and young adult mission trips and retreats.
Serve on committees and ministry teams as needed.
Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings with the Pastor.
Preach and/or teach as needed.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
 
The ideal candidate will be an energetic and positive person willing to oversee, develop, and implement a dynamic and diverse program for middle and high school students (grades 6-12). The preferred person would have an intense love for young people, be highly energetic in nature, and be willing to plan and be involved in outings and activities for our youth. We are seeking a person that will impart spiritual truth and wisdom for our students, as well as someone who can plan and implement fun activities while promoting the cause of Christ in everything that is done. The position would be approximately 20-25 hours per week.

The pastors is responsible for leading the church function as a New Testament Church and will lead the congregation, organizations and church staff to perform their tasks.
 
The pastor oversees the pastoral ministries of the church, as such he works with the deacons and church staff:
 
1. To lead the church in performing its task.
2. To lead the church to engage in fellowship of worship, witness, education, ministry and application.
